In 1964, E.M.
“Moe” Bennett opened his doors as a sole practitioner offering
structural engineering design services to local architects and
contractors. Rex Pless joined Moe Bennett in 1967 to form what now
stands as one of the most respected consulting engineering firms
in the Southeast, Bennett & Pless, Inc. Among the Principals of
the firm, professional registrations permitting the practice of
engineering are held in forty states as well as the District of
Columbia. After retirement Moe remains a consultant to the firm.
We opened an
office in Chattanooga, Tennessee in 1969 primarily to be more
responsive to our architectural clients in that area. Our
Chattanooga office has the expertise on its staff to address
sophisticated structural design requirements for commercial,
industrial and institutional facilities.
