W. Max Finley Stadium
University of Tennessee - Chattanooga

The stadium was constructed in 1998 and is used by the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga as well as other sports teams. The stadium was designed to seat 40,000 with provisions made to double the capacity. The structure utilizes both cast-in-place concrete and precast concrete and also structural steel. The stadium is adjoined by the First Tennessee Pavilion, which is a renovated structural steel framed industrial building which had been abandoned for years. Renovations included a new floor and restoration of the steel framing.

Holmberg Bridge, Chattanooga, TN

The Holmberg Bridge serves as a pedestrian walkway across a 4-lane highway connecting the River Walk in Chattanooga, TN, with the Hunter Museum. The bridge structure is framed with structural steel, and the supporting elements are unique, geometrically shaped, cast-in-place concrete sculpture-type structures. The deck of the bridge consists of laminated glass which is lighted in the evening from underneath the glass. Entrance onto the bridge consists of steel-framed stairs or cast-in-place concrete ramps. The bridge was completed in 2005.
