We are pleased to announce that Ben Mielke and Brian Mielke have been promoted to Engineering Supervisors in our Raleigh office.
While Ben and Brian are identical twins, each has built a distinct career at Bennett & Pless, earning this promotion through their own contributions, strengths, and professional growth.
Ben Mielke has consistently demonstrated strong technical judgment and a thoughtful, steady approach to problem-solving. He is respected for his professionalism, reliability, and commitment to supporting both project teams and individual engineers. In his new role as Engineering Supervisor, Ben will continue to focus on guiding technical work, supporting team coordination, and mentoring engineers as they develop their skills and confidence.
Brian Mielke brings a complementary leadership style, with a strong emphasis on collaboration, communication, and team engagement. He is known for his ability to balance technical demands with practical solutions while maintaining a positive and supportive team environment. As an Engineering Supervisor, Brian will play a key role in day-to-day leadership, workload management, and helping engineers navigate project challenges.
Purpose of the Engineering Supervisor Role
As Bennett & Pless continues to grow, several departments have expanded to a size that benefits from additional leadership support. The Engineering Supervisor role was established to create a strategic span break within larger teams, allowing for more effective management, mentorship, and communication.
Engineering Supervisors play a key role in:
- Supporting Department Managers with team oversight and coordination
- Assisting with day-to-day leadership and workload management
- Mentoring and developing engineers
- Serving as a leadership development pathway aligned with future Department Manager responsibilities
