Bennett & Pless is proud to be the structural engineers for the James A. Leach Aquatic and Recreation Center located in Raeford, North Carolina. We are thrilled to announce that this project won the Structural Engineers Association of North Carolina Excellence in Structural Engineering Award.
The aquatic and recreation center is a 2-story, 53,000 SF steel frame and concrete structure skinned with full-height glass walls providing plenty of natural light and views of the surrounding site. The project’s interior space includes a natatorium and gymnasium, 6 multi-purpose rooms, a concession stand, locker rooms, and offices for the Hoke County Parks and Recreation Department. James A. Leach Aquatic and Recreation Center is the first aquatic center in Hoke County, NC.
